My very first dog was a Peke.
My family and I are in a Peke book, printed in 1959 or so. I mainly
had a couple of mutts. I was thinking about getting another Peke or
a Norwich Terrier. I am a dedicated animal rescuer with 17 Poms, 13
cats, 2 birds, a 17 year old pot bellied pig, a horse (who is 17
also), 11 chickens and 3 rescued house mice. Just a little zoo
keeper at heart. I have found it difficult to turn an animal in need
away. |

My first show Pom was Chewy, but
didn't end up with the movement for showing and became a much loved
pet. Sugar Bear was my second show girl, then Trixie, but they never
did anything. Princess was my first girl to point but ended up to
tiny for me to comfortably breed. I mentioned to a friend Darlys
that I would like a show boy, not long after that I was led to Danny and
Arlene Fraiser of Dannylad Poms, in Canada. I almost didn't end up
with him due to a disconnect, but things worked out in the end. We
were just meant to be together. |

Now Danny and Dorothy are the Double
D team. Danny just loves me too much, he
wanted to walk sideways to see me. So Dorothy Trosino of Two T's
Poms agreed to show for a time to see what she could. It didn't take
long for the judges to appreciate what he had. His first Major was
in Enumclaw for 4 points. Now he is a multi BOB winner, has a Group1
and a Group 4. Danny has fathered 2 litters now with 1 finished CH
and several hopefuls entering the ring in 2005. Most judges who have
placed him say "he is a beautiful, sound moving Pom." |
